The paper pattern is pretty simple for the Main as well the Advanced. Here is a quick glimpse of how the exam paper will look like.

Paper Pattern for JEE Advanced 2013

Even though it has been repeated over and over again, students can only appear in JEE-Advanced 2013 after clearing JEE Main. The syllabus of JEE-Advanced 2013 is completely similar to IIT JEE 2012. Also, the paper pattern is parallel to the 2012 pattern. Here is a quick revision:

JEE-Advanced 2013 will have two multiple choice papers, as in Paper 1 and Paper 2. The questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will be asked in both the papers. The duration of the papers is of 3 hours each. Papers will be conducted in both English as well as Hindi medium. The papers will held in two sessions, Paper 1 in morning, 9 to pm and Paper 2 in the afternoon, 2 to 5 pm. Marking Scheme will not be revealed for JEE Advanced papers.

The pattern stays fairly unchanged for the Advanced exam and so does the competition. If aspirants have more questions regarding the pattern, they can go through the FAQs section given on the official website.
