Indian Institute of Technology- Joint Entrance Examination
(JEE) 2013 is an entrance exam which is
conducted by Indian Institute of Technology for giving admission to
aspirants in undergraduate courses in fifteen IITs located all over
India. The online registration process for the JEE Main
2013 entrance exam will be started from 8th November, 2012 and
last date to fill the application form online 15th December,
2012.
Online Registration for IIT-JEE 2013
All the candidates who want to apply for JEE Main 2013 need to fill the registration form and
to fill the form you need to follow the below process:
Step 1: To fill the form online aspirants
should logon to the official website of the JEE Main. Please visit: http://jeemain.nic.in/
Step 2: Click on the option of new user
registration tab on the online registration of IIT-JEE 2012 page.
Step 3: Now enter all important information
asked on the page and fill all the necessary details.
Step 4: After that fill all important details
such as name, age, email id, password, and other details, now click
on the "Submit" button.
Step 5: After clicking on the submit button the
page will take you to another page. On that page you can see your
user id and password details.
Step 6: Now login again in the site with your
user name and id and follow all the instructions mentioned on the
page and fill the form.
Step 7: After completing all the steps and
filling up all the information, now you are suppose to make your
payment.
Registration Fees
General and OBC categories candidates
will have to spend Rs 800 for the Main form while Schedule
Caste/Schedule Tribe (SC/ST) candidates will have to pay Rs 400.
After filling the form online, candidates can get a print-out,
attach a demand draft of Rs 800/400 and send it to CBSE Head Office In Delhi.
Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main
2013
- The minimum eligibility criteria to appear in JEE-Main 2013 is candidate must have passed Class
10+2 examination or its equivalent examination from a recognised
board or university.
- Candidates who are appearing in Class XII final examination are also eligible to appear in
JEE-Main examination.
- Admission criteria in the concerned institute or university
will be followed as mentioned by the respective institute/college
as per the guidelines of AICTE.
- Candidates looking for admission in NIT, IIITs or CFTIs must ensure their eligibility
criteria as per their guidelines.
Date of Birth Required to Appear in JEE Main Exam
All the candidates who want to take this JEE Main entrance exam must meet the minimum
eligibility criteria for the exam:
- General (GE) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) category candidates must have been born on or
after October 1, 1988. Those born earlier are not eligible.
- Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes
(ST), and those with Physical Disability (PD) must have been born
on or after October 1, 1983. SC/ST/PD candidates born before
October 1, 1983 are not eligible to appear in JEE Main Exam
Note: Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education
Board/University certificate will only be considered.
Year & List of Qualifying Examination for JEE-Main 2013
- Candidate must have passed 2 examination under the scheme
of 102 examination of any state/central board of examination
or university in 2011 or 2012 or those students who are giving
their Class 12th Exam or any other qualifying examination in 2013
are eligible to appear.
- Candidates who has passed Class XII/
exam in year 2010 or before & students appearing for such
examination in 2014 or later are not eligible to appear in current
year.
- Candidates who appeared in class 12th /other Qualifying
Examinations in 2010, did not pass in 2010, but passed in 2011 are
also not eligible to appear in JEE (Main)
2013.
- Two year pre-university education or intermediate from a
recognised university/board.
- Appearing in the final examination of Joint Services Wing.
- Passed Class 10+2 from any private school/board/university
recognized by the Association of Indian Universities or equivalent
to 10+2 education.
- 3 or 4-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education
- Candidates who have taken at least five subjects in class 12th
/any other Qualifying examination are eligible or candidates who
have taken four subjects are also permitted to write JEE 2013 as an exception.
- Candidates belonging to GE and OBC
categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in QE. SC,
ST and PD candidates must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in
QE.
