ADVISE NEEDED (Discussion)

I am a class IX student and aspire to go to IIT-Delhi since a child.I got full marks in physics in my tests,more than 90% in chemestry n maths(touch wood). I will start IIT coaching in 11th. But many people had adviced me that coaching institutes are a waste of time. Instead you should take separate tuitions for phy,chem n maths and take Distance learning from coaching institutes like brilliant and bansals. they say that self study is best study. I know there is time there for 11th but still i am asking you to please advise me what should i do? please do advise.

if u r a very strong iit aspirant, then it is better u join in a very reputed institution in ur place or else join in online coaching websites ( paid) . they also make ur lessons more lively. goin to separate coaching centres for diff subjects is waste of time and money becoz u hav to also concentrate on ur school subjects. but foundation in 9th is very useful to groom up ur thinking ability. so make a wise choice. u hav to do smart work more than hard work. try to save as much time as u can.

and i disagree that coaching institutes r a waste of time bcoz they giv u an ordered agenda of classes and move on systematically. ths can’t easily be done bye us

COACHING FOR JEE IN 9 IS A BLUNDER FAULT. 1.YOU DON’T HAVE THAT MUCH OF DEVOLPED BRAIN. 2.YOUR KNOWLEDGE HAS NOT REACHED THE BASIC LEVEL. 3.YOU CAN’T BE THAT MUCH HARDWORKING AND DEVOTED. 4.YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR CHILDHOOD AND ALL THE FUN AND MASTI OF SCHOOL LIFE AS A WHOLE. 5.YOUR PERFORMANCE IN YOUR SCHOOL EXAMS WILL BE AFFECTED A LOT. 6.YOU WILL GET FULLY EXHAUSTED AND BURNED OUT TILL THE JUDGEMENT DAY COMES

I DON’T SAY COACHING IS UNNESESSARY. BUT, IT IS OF NO USE IN 9th.IT WILL RATHER PROOVE A HINDERANCE AT YOUR AGE. BUT.EXCEPTIONS ARE THERE IF YOU ARE EXTRAORDINARY INTELIGENT . I AM SORRY TO SAY MY FREIND THE MARKS YOU HAVE MENTIONED HAVE 0 IMPORTANCE TO DECIDE THAT YOU CRACK JEE OR NOT.SIMPLY MUGGING WILL NOT MAKE YOU CRACK JEE. AN IIT UNDER 900 SELOMELY GETS GOOD MARKS IN BOARDS.

  well,thanx anyway, but i think u dont got my question. i have no intentions to go for coaching in 9th. i was just asking for 11th. well for the marx one i gave them cauze to tell my present situation thanx for spending time in reading and replying.

Hi Mr.IIT aspirant….

Good to hear that you are interested in getting into iit … It basically requires a lot of hard work… I would advice you to put in a lot of hard work from your IX standard itself… That doesn’t mean going for coaching institutes…. You still have time.. Regarding coaching institutes i would give you a green signal.. There are obviously not a waste of time.. Mind that you choose a very good institute that has been grooming students and sending them into iit… If you do self study that would never be enough for iit… You need to learn something from the iit alumni..(Probably they will take classes in these coaching institutes…) There will be a lot of tests which will be useful for evaluating yourself and your concepts… There will be a lot of model papers… There will be a lot of friendly teachers whom you can approach if you have doubts…. SO I ADVICE YOU TO GO FOR IIT COACHING CLASSES… Seeing the marks you get i can very well understand that you have a flair for these subjects in the cbse level or any board level… It is a wise choice made by you to develop your concepts by going for iit coaching…..

  hmmm…..i think at the present level you can devote your time to study your school syllabus…. And if you are interested in some extra curricular activity you can do that.. You can take time to choose your career… If you are so focused in iit, you can try to explore the various streams you can pursue….which may interest you… You can do any constructive activity in this level.. You can train yourself in yoga because iit requires concentration… Do any useful thing….but make sure you do not waste time… Take breaks… relax yourself… watch movies…but don’t get distracted…. coaching classes is waste of time better u go for distance learning program(DLP), in DLP they will provide test paper & notes & online query & dout sessions also & 2 or three special lectures for DLP student which will enhace ur rank in IIT-JEE. (hey don’t waste ur time in collage life & buying so many books, buy standard books start preparing from 11 th std & don’t go for searching tips, tricks , shortcut for iit jee)
